Descartes Method
- Rule I—The aim of study must be the direction of the mind toward true conclusions.
- Rule II—We must study only those subjects that our intelligence appears capable of forming true conclusions.
- Rule III—We must only seek those true conclusions that we can clearly intuit or deduce with certainty, and not base our studies on conjecture, either by our own design or the writings of others.
